IS SHE OR ISN’T SHE? BUZZ BUILDS THAT GWYNETH PALTROW’S STAR-STUDDED “ENGAGEMENT PARTY” WAS REALLY HER BIG DAY.
Gwyneth Paltrow looked every bit a blushing bride when she and Brad Falchuk stepped onstage at the Los Angeles Theater to thank the 400 guests who had attended their black-tie, live-band, A-list soiree on April 14 — and every bit a newlywed when she stepped out days later wearing a fresh wedding finger ring inscribed with her man’s initials. In fact, the circumstantial evidence is so convincing, rumors are flying that the “engagement party” thrown by 47-year-old Brad’s Glee cocreator, Ryan Murphy — about which Gwyneth wrote a gushing tribute on Instagram thanking “all of our amazing true and dear friends who came to support us,” including Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz and Kate Hudson — marked their actual nuptials!
Engaged since January, Gwyneth, 45, has gone out of her way to throw reporters off the scent of her plans, alternately claiming she was giddily organizing a huge to-do since her 2003 elopement with Chris Martin meant she’d “never had a wedding,” and saying she was “[too] old to have a big wedding and a big ol’ white dress and all that.” Still, speculation that the April 14 fete was a vow exchange hits some snags: While Gwyneth’s mom, Blythe Danner, was in attendance — carrying a garment bag from bridal gown designer Monique Lhuillier — her kids, Apple, 13, and Moses, 12, were M.I.A., a guest-list oversight that seems highly unlikely. Some sources say an intimate ceremony may yet await the Avengers star this summer. Oy, just recouple already!
